  2.                        TIPS ON WRITING TO CELEBRITIES

  4.     (1) Always include a self-addressed, stamped envelope when you write
  5.         to a Celebrity, you've got a better chance of getting a reply if
  6.         you do. Celebrities are very busy, so by sending a S.A.S.E.  you
  7.         save them a step and your thoughtfulness will be appreciated. If
  8.         you are asking  for an  autographed photo,  it is a good idea to
  9.         include a 9" x 12" self-addressed-stamped-envelope  (SASE)  with
  10.         your letter.

  12.     (2) Keep your letters short.   It is better to send short notes more
  13.         frequently than a long  multi-page  letter which may not be read
  14.         due to lack of time.
  15.  
  16.     (3) Keep things simple and casual.  Write your letter as if you were
  17.         speaking directly to your favorate celebrity.

  19.     (4) PRINT  and keep it neat.  What good is your letter if no one can
  20.         read it.  If your handwriting is truly a problem, then type your
  21.  
  22.     (5) Begin your letter with Dear ____________, and end with Sincerely
  23.         yours, and your name.

  25.     (6) It a good idea to  mention your favorate celebrity's last movie,
  26.         video, record or TV show - and let them know what you thought of
  27.         it.

  29.     (7) Include a little  bit about yourself. Stars like to know what you
  30.         are like.  You don't have to describe yourself physically, but do
  31.         include personal details like your  interests,  hobbies,  if  you
  32.         share the same birthday, etc.

  34.     (8) You don't have to include a photo of yourself,  but if you choose
  35.         to do so, don't expect to get it back.

  37.     (9) NEVER SEND MONEY, food  or large  expensive  gifts  of  any  kind
  38.         through the  mail.   Celebrities  usually  appreciate  your  warm
  39.         thoughts more than anything else.

  41.    (10) Send a birthday card or a note a few  weeks  before  his  or  her
  42.         birthday to make sure it arrives on time.   You can make the card
  43.         or buy one, either one is fine.

  45.    (11) If you want a fast answer from a celebrity  in  a  foreign  land,
  46.         make  sure  you  include  International  Reply  Coupons that  can
  47.         easily be  purchased at  your local  Post Office.   Ask your mail
  48.         person how many to  send in  order to cover  return  postage from
  49.         your favorate performer.

  51.    (12) DON'T  FORGET  YOUR  NAME  AND  ADDRESS,  both  on  envelopes and
  52.         letters! Also if you are sending a photo to be autographed,  make
  53.         sure that you also have your name and address on the back of  the
  54.         photo!!! Use a label instead of writing directly on photo.

  56.    (13) Don't lie  about  the  state  of your  health in order to play on
  57.         your favorite's compassion.

  59.    (14) Don't get discouraged, keep writing!

  61.    (15) Make  sure  you  are  using  a legally  REGISTERED copy  of Rob's
  62.         Celebrity Autograph Kit!
